Job Description
Summary
This job involves providing mental health care, assessments, and treatment to incarcerated individuals in a state correctional facility in Iowa.
The role includes diagnosing conditions, creating treatment plans with a team, documenting care, and sometimes testifying in court.

Key Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university

- Licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) by the Iowa Board of Nursing
- Registration as an ARNP with the Iowa Board of Nursing
- Experience in psychiatric or mental health assessments and patient care
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on treatment plans
- Willingness to prepare legal reports and testify in court as needed

Provides patient care through various delivery models based on clinical and organizational needs.
Conducts examinations and evaluations of patients to diagnose psychiatric or medical conditions.
Completes required medical records and reports to document patient care.

Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Nursing and certification as a clinical nurse specialist, nurse midwife, nurse practitioner or registered nurse anesthetist; (Please include certification documentation)OR
