This job involves researching and resolving complex property tax issues, handling billing, payments, and refunds, and communicating with taxpayers and businesses to ensure accurate tax collection.
A good fit would be someone with office or customer service experience who is detail-oriented, good at math, and comfortable using computers to solve problems.
It's ideal for those interested in public service in a tax office setting in Fort Worth.
Performs property tax research to solve complex problems associate with most functions in the assessment and collection of ad valorem taxes.
High school diploma or GED and two (2) years full-time of general office or retail work experience.
Prefer experience with electronic payment processing and knowledge of credit card and e-check processing. Experience with business machines, computers and basic business math is desired.
Knowledge of property tax processing is desired. Employees may be required to work at any of the Tax Office locations.
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stand, sit, lift, stoop, bend, and reach.
