here.Responsible for actively selling MSI’s products and services to both current and potential customers. Assists in obtaining product or marketing information as necessary.
Objective is to maximize sales of MSI products while minimizing cost of sales. Provide follow up service to customer requests.
Required to attend trade shows and conferences (in state and out of state), set up and take down MSI booth.
Responsible for coordinating with manufacturing operations and serving as a liaison between customers and factory operations.
The sales territory covers the entire State of Michigan.
Extensive travel, overnight stays and some weekends may be required.
This position will be required to visit operations that are inside the secure perimeter of Correctional Facilities.
This position may be performed remotely based on MSI needs.

Requirements
Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Promotional Agent 9
No specific type or amount is required.
Promotional Agent 10
One year of professional experience providing professional promotional agent services equivalent to a Promotional Agent 9.
Promotional Agent P11
Two years of professional experience providing professional promotional agent services equivalent to a Promotional Agent, including one year equivalent to a Promotional Agent 10.
Promotional Agent 12
Three years of professional experience providing professional promotional agent services equivalent to a Promotional Agent, including one year equivalent to a Promotional Agent P11.
Qualifications
Educational Substitution
College credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience.
Promotional Agent 9 - 12Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
Promotional Agent (Departmental Trainee) 9
Education-
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience-Four years of experience as an advanced 9-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.
OR
Three years of experience as an E9, E10, or E11-level worker in an ECP Group One classification.
OR
Two years of experience as an experienced level worker in an ECP Group One technician or paraprofessional classification.
OR
Two years of experience as a first-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
OR
One year of experience as a second-line supervisor in an ECP Group Three classification.
*Paraprofessional classifications are those requiring an associate’s degree or two years of college.

IMPORTANT: New hires to the MDOC along with previous MDOC employees that are returning after being away from the department for more than two years will complete Non-Custody New Employee Training (NCNET) either 40 hours or 80 hours of initial in-person training based on their level of offender contact and job classification. All new employees will complete additional online training to successfully complete their non-custody new employee training.
