Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading engineering and infrastructure projects for the Navy, from planning and budgeting to ensuring everything gets done on time and within budget while working with teams and following rules.
It's a good fit for someone with experience managing projects in government or construction settings who enjoys coordinating with others and solving problems to keep things on track.
You'll handle contracts and reports to support naval facilities in California.
You will serve as a PROJECT MANAGER in the Shore Technical Department of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supporting the development, execution, and oversight of projects including but not limited to facility engineering, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure improvement; 2) Coordinating with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables; 3) Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to prevent project delays or failures; 4) Preparing reports, briefings, and presentations to support leadership and customers; and5) Developing cost estimates, project funds, and managing contracted work budgets.
