Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is seeking experienced Project Controls Manager to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the project controls practices across a portfolio of complex capital programs.
This position is responsible for ensuring effective cost, schedule, risk and performance management to support successful project delivery aligned with SPU’s strategic objectives.
The Project Controls Manager will establish and maintain standardized processes, tools, and reporting frameworks; provide leadership to project controls staff, and partner closely with project managers, engineers, finance, and executive leadership to ensure transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.

Experience: Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in project controls, project management, or capital program delivery including cost estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Two (2) years of supervisory or management experience leading staff, consultants, or cross-functional teams.
Education: Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Construction Management or related field.
Experience and Education Equivalency: Other combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability.
License, Certification, and Other Requirements: Current Washington State driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility.

Work Schedule: This position allows for the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. Employees are required to come into the office three times a week. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.
Salary: The full salary range for this position is $56.57 - $84.88 per hour.
