The Tax Division is seeking an application developer to join its I.T. Division.
The chosen candidate will work with other developers, vendors, analysts, and end users in supporting, configuring, and developing applications for the integrated tax system (GenTax) and other Tax-specific applications.
Examples of work include but are not limited to:
Performs related work as required.
The successful candidate must be knowledgeable of working with asp.net, visualstudio.net, and SQL, and familiar with working with relational databases such as SQL and Oracle as it pertains to using query statements for extracting ad hoc datasets.
Experience with extensible markup language (XML) and XML Schema Preparation is desirable.
The position will require the use of structured techniques and object-oriented techniques in design and implementation.
Employment requires a fingerprint-based criminal-background check to be provided at the West Virginia Tax Division’s expense.
Failing to initiate the process or cooperate with this process, providing false or incomplete information, or discovery of disqualifying information will result in denial of, or dismissal from, employment or denial of transfer irrespective of when discovered.
The chosen applicant will also be subject to a tax compliance check.
