The position is located at Member Services (MS), Resource Management (RM), Facilities and Logistics Division, Mail and Imaging Branch.
The incumbent serves as the Lead Program Support Assistant (PSA) at the MS facility located in Atlanta, GA and provides support services program coordination and administrative support to the supervisor and lower-level team members.
For GS-6: Possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience to perform the duties of this position.
To be creditable, this experience must have been gained at least the equivalent of the next lower grade level of (GS-5) in Federal service.
Specialized experience is providing administrative and technical direction in the requisition, procurement storage and issuance of office supplies and other administrative equipment such as office machines and filing equipment; and providing accurate and timely mail, printing, and document imaging support.
OR For GS-7: Possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience to perform the duties of this position.
To be creditable, this experience must have been gained to at least the equivalent of the next lower grade level of (GS-6) in Federal service.
Specialized experience is providing administrative and technical direction in the requisition, procurement storage and issuance of office supplies and other administrative equipment such as office machines and filing equipment; performing mail handling procedures i.e.
process checks, registered mail, and express mail etc.; and identifying and resolving issues and recommending process improvements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Major Duties:
***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Major Duties: Oversees and participates in operations of all mailroom equipment.
This includes responsibility for repairs, researching new and replacement equipment, contacting vendors for preliminary information, preparing recommendations for upgrades, and new or replacement equipment.
Maintains log of routine maintenance service plus any required repair services and is responsible for the centralized supply function for office and non-equipment purchases.
Assesses both current and future workload for anticipated future equipment requirements and prepares recommendations for the supervisor.
Serves as point of contact for printing, publication, procurement, distribution, and maintenance of stock levels and those for in-house reproduction.
Provides administrative and technical direction in the requisition, procurement storage and issuance of office supplies and other administrative equipment such as office machines and filing equipment.
Provides support in the development of mailroom internal controls, identifies issues and problem areas with current internal controls and provides input to mailroom leadership for process improvements.
Processes incoming mail to ensure correspondence is delivered timely and accurately to the correct recipient and examines a variety of documents ranging from simple to complex and determines the appropriate file index.
Completes workload and statistical reports for all activities relating to the section and assists with preparation and submission of annual budget formulation documents to budget staff.
