Summary

This job involves supporting mail and print operations at a Veterans Affairs facility, including tracking performance metrics, distributing mail, and processing print jobs while following federal rules.

Full Job Description

The position is located at Member Services (MS), Resource Management (RM), Facilities and Logistics Division, Mail and Imaging Branch, which is physically located in Smyrna, Georgia.

To apply for this position, you must have the following qualifications: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS 4) in Federal Service that includes performing the following duties: Tracks Measures of Performance (MoP) and Measures of Effectiveness (MoE); Inputs and contributes to the required annual Mail Management Expenditure Report; Provides support in all aspects of mail operations; Responsible for mail distribution; Provides support in all aspects of Print Center operations; Processing batch print jobs including receipt, processing, printing, postage, and mailing as outlined within Federal Laws and Regulations.

We will not make assumptions regarding experience.) -OR- SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): I have successfully completed 4 years of education above high school.

-OR- COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): I have equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate-level education (beyond 18 semester hours) and specialized experience, as described above, which meet the total experience requirements for this grade level.

The education portion must include graduate courses directly related to the work of this position.

You will be rated on the following Competencies as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position: IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week.

All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.

Physical Requirements: While portions of the work are sedentary, another portion requires prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, and lifting of heavy packages, mail bags, and supply boxes up to 50 pounds.
