About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Program Support Assistant providing a variety of administrative, technical and clerical support functions to the Medical Transient Detachment (MTD) staff.
Primary duties will be to provide administrative support to wounded warriors arriving to the Medical Transient Detachment (MTD); which may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes receiving visitors and telephone calls in a courteous, tactful, and polite manner; AND providing information of the capabilities and services of an organization; AND performing clerical and administrative duties.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60.
Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-05 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.
