The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a subject matter expert in Vendor Threat Mitigation (VTM) to provide threat mitigation in commercial support to operations; coordinate with requiring activities to ensure all prime vendors seeking contracts and performing or delivering in the USCENTCOM area of responsibility (AOR) to be vetted prior to receiving a contract.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Group Standard for Administrative & Management Positions.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level (or equivalent in other pay systems) in the federal service in which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Specialized experience is experience which includes mitigating threats from vendors in support of commercial operations and leveraging intelligence, counterintelligence, law enforcement, open-source, financial, and contract information to produce an integrated and comprehensive threat risk analysis.

Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and theories of Vendor Threat Mitigation, and the standard practices, methods, and techniques of the occupation sufficient to perform difficult, but well-precedented assignments.

2. Knowledge of analysis, evaluation, fact-finding, and investigative techniques to gather data, identify significant factors, and recommend a solution from a number of possible alternatives. 3.

Knowledge of the occupation to perform studies and prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence to communicate factual and procedural information clearly. 4.

Skill in applying the principles, concepts, and practices of the occupation sufficient to perform moderately difficult assignments. 5.

Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers and management. 6.

Ability to learn and apply analytical investigative techniques to accomplish work in subject-matter field.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is designated as Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.

As a mandatory requirement for employment, the incumbent is to refrain from the use of illegal drugs and if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.

Appointee must sign a statement acknowledging the position occupied is a TDP. This position is designated as a key position IAW AFI 36-507.

Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations.

Incumbents of key positions must be removed from their military recall status if alternative for filling of the position during an emergency are not available. Major Duties:

Serve as the focal point for U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) Vendor Threat Mitigation (VTM) plans and operations.

Independently review intelligence reports and provide recommendations to Branch Chief to support vendor rating decisions.

Update database tracker for current and past contract vendors and update risk rating in tracker/database after Vendor Vetting Decision Board (VVDB).

Prepare and facilitate all facets of the CENTCOM Regulation (CCR) working group to review and update VTM policy and processes.

Develop VTM operational guides/checklists for distribution to AOR Service Components and Combined Joint Task Forces.

Responsible for all facets of the 841 Working Group and 841 Identification Board to include conducting the working group and boards, collecting inputs, organizing and distributing materials, recording votes, scheduling conference rooms and inviting attendees, and any other task associated with promoting the successful exchange of information.
