Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team!

BACHELOR¿S DEGREE from an accredited college or university in a related field appropriate to the work of position AND THREE YEARS of experience in the occupation, or a related field or work area, OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to that gained in the above, OR appropriate experience that demonstrates that the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to that gained in the above.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person-to-person contacts in order to communicate with various levels of technical, professional, management and administrative personnel.

Must also have skills to organize and coordinate multiple high visibility projects simultaneously. Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software suites required.

Understanding of Inspector General of the Marine Corps functional area checklist process and execution; Knowledge of Share Point functions and applications, Marine On Line (MOL), Marine Corps Total Force Management System (MCTFS), and Department of Defense Manpower Data Center recommended.

Major Duties:

Serves as Family Readiness Services Support Specialist responsible for independently supporting the following functional programs (Marine Corps Family Team Building; Unit, Personal and Family Readiness Program; , Personal Financial Management Program; and Information, Referral and Relocation) and providing recommendations for program plans and materials.

The incumbent will be responsible for analyzing and developing proposals or provisions in terms of impact on program resources requirements; developing new and revised operating procedures and standards to incorporate provisions that affect operating activities and requirements; conducting review of the administration and operation of the program and providing advice.

Works independently or in conjunction with the Section Head, program managers, program specialists and analysts, and branch support staff to complete program and project studies.

Carries out reviews of program operations to develop and revise guideline materials such as statements of policy and model operating procedures for use by agency officials or other organizations as guides to revise policies and procedures, or to develop program plans and proposals to meet federal requirements.

Reviews and identifies proposed changes to program plans and project proposals to ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met and proposed changes are not contrary to law.

Where inconsistencies are found, recommends remedial corrections to leadership.

Provides assistance to program managers and specialists who develop the program evaluation plan, determine the coverage, suggest methodology, and provide guidance on handling of technical problems and public relations issues.

Works with Section Head, section staff and branch support staff to resolve problems, advise on and render technical assistance in areas such as: changes or improvements in program objectives, utilizing facilities and staff, redirecting programs to provide more efficient and effective service, developing new or revised curricula and programs for field use and training efforts for staff development, and developing and installing reporting systems.

Supports program evaluation efforts to include the development and review of criteria for evaluation, onsite installation-level program reviews/certifications and unit-level inspections, and requisite reports, after-action requirements, and follow on support.

Develops and analyzes data to be used in preparing analytical and interpretative reports and guides for program operation, select pertinent techniques for data collection to identify aspects of successful program operations, select successful methods and techniques used by other local officials (federal, state, local), and adapt and extend methods and techniques into new patterns to solve problems.

Utilizes a variety of fact-finding techniques such as interviews, cases analysis and observation, to elicit appropriate data, identify areas of operation, and oversee and participate in fact finding, development of recommendations and preparation of reports of findings.

Provides technical support in creating and/or reviewing contracts, annual reports, and required information for the fulfillment of financial prerequisites and compliance with standard policies or regulations.

May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical work week and work hours.

May travel to complete work assignments and conduct or attend conferences and meetings. Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
