Full Job Description

You will serve as a Program Manager at the Strategy & Plans, Requirements, Resourcing and Assessments Department of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading a diverse team to perform strategic planning, with experience in undersea systems, unmanned systems, cyber communications, intelligence and reconnaissance, evaluating and developing Program Objective Memorandum (POM) planning documents; leading and supervising a cross functional team into sound acquisition and programming strategies.

  • You will be responsible for supervising and conducting detailed analysis of NSW mission requirements, threat assessments, operational force capabilities, and projected operational environments.
  • You will collect recommendations for increased capabilities and conduct detailed mission analysis to determine need.
  • You will act as the lead NSW proponent for programming, budgeting, and execution of investment, development, and sustainment resources for NSWG-8 focused Major Force Program (MFP)-2 and MFP-11 programs of records.
  • You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust long- and short-term priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work, assign work to subordinates based on priorities and evaluate work performance of subordinates.
  • You will lead and coordinate with the NSWG-8 Comptroller the development and submission of POM planning documents, Program Review and Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR) planning documents.
  • You will supervise research and development for locally procured equipment that is not contained within USSOCOM acquisition programs.
