This job involves leading the planning and management of maintenance and upgrades for U.S.
Navy aircraft carriers throughout their service life, ensuring everything from budgets to schedules stays on track.
You'll guide a team in setting priorities, analyzing risks, and making recommendations to keep these massive ships operational and modern.
It's a great fit for someone with experience in large-scale project management, especially in defense or engineering, who enjoys strategic planning and problem-solving in a high-stakes environment.
You will serve as a Class Maintenance Plan (CMP) Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) in the Carrier Planning Activity of CARRIER PLANNING ACTIVITY.
The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing program requirements (i.e., cost, schedule, contracts, performance reporting, logistics, budget) to provide lifecycle maintenance and modernization planning in support of surface ships.
