This is a time limited temporary grant position that will end in Sept of 2028.

This position acts as the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) Technical Assistance Coordinator. Responsible for working with Personal Responsibility Program Administrator to develop sites for program funding and organize technical assistance for identified sites.

Provide technical assistance to sites funded through Personal Responsibility Education Program PREP to include: attendance at all Community Work Group (CWG) meetings of local sub-grantees to assist with planning and implementation of their individual teen pregnancy prevention plan, and other needs related to the CWG work plan goals. Observe each facilitator funded as a sub-grantee at least once per year and ensure effective curriculum implementation. Assist with the development of evaluation methods related to the CWG learning objectives.
Provide technical assistance to PREP funded counties related to community collaboration and awareness of PREP and related programs.
Assist the PREP Program Coordinator II and Manager with overall programmatic oversight and the assurance of meeting grant requirements.
Assists with management of contracts with funded PREP partners and the program evaluator.

Requirements

State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.


Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.


Agency Additional Requirements: A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience. Relevant work experience in prevention of Teen Pregnancy, HIV ad STI, sexual violence or other related field. Experience in grant writing and reporting. Experience in program administration and evaluation. Preferred: at least 2 years of work in the teen pregnancy field or a field that is closely related through shared risk and protective factors. Must have a valid SC Driver's License.

Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate.

Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively with others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
