What You Will Be Doing:
As a Program Coordinator with the Child Care Program Office (CCPO), you’ll be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for supporting families in accessing safe, healthy, and quality childcare. This position is on the Quality and Capacity Building Team for enhancing childcare quality, expanding capacity, and ensuring accessibility for all families, especially those with infants, school-aged children, and children with special needs. You will engage with many partners and agencies within the field to support a robust early childhood system.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position is located in Anchorage at the Child Care Program Office in the Frontier Building, 3601 C St, Suite 140. You will be working with experienced staff that supports CCPO’s mission in an environment of mutual respect and trust where staff are encouraged to participate in decisions affecting their work. The position offers the potential for a hybrid telework arrangement after the probationary period in the office.

Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with competencies in:

- Planning and Evaluating: Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.
Equivalent to those typically gained by:
Training from an accredited college or university in any field and/or progressively responsible experience assisting with planning, coordinating, and implementing administrative controls, work processes, and/or procedures for a program, project, business, or organization.
Special Note:
“Competencies” means a combination of interrelated knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors that enable a person to act effectively in a job or situation.
“Typically gained by” means the prevalent, usual method of gaining the competencies expected for entry into the job.
“Training” and “education” are synonyms for the process of acquiring knowledge and skills through instruction.
It includes instruction through formal and informal methods (such as classroom, on-line, self-study, and on-the-job), from accredited and unaccredited sources, and long-duration (such as a post-secondary degree) and short-duration (such as a seminar) programs.
