Summary

This job involves investigating reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation against vulnerable adults in Alaska, assessing their ability to make decisions, and providing support services or legal interventions to ensure their safety.

What You Will Be Doing:
In this role, you will play an integral part in keeping vulnerable adult Alaskans safe. You will be responsible for receiving and investigating allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation. You will assess an adult’s decision-making abilities and provide voluntary supportive services or involuntary protective services based on needs through advanced-level casework, service plan development, preparing legal forms, attending court hearings or mediation, and providing testimony as necessary. You will serve a wide range of individuals who may be experiencing significant behavioral, medical, mental health, and socioeconomic needs throughout an adult’s lifespan.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:
This position is in East Anchorage, next to East High School. Work hours can be flexible within the general state hours of operation.
