Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting the Army's ROTC program at a university by handling paperwork for student enrollment, managing supplies and budgets, monitoring scholarship payments, and coordinating events with the school.

Specialized experience at the GS-06 level is defined as: Operating automated software programs to prepare charts and/or reports; assisting the organization with supply and logistics support such as supplies, regulatory changes, budgets and/or expenditures; AND supporting applicants with academic processes such as scholarship payments and enrollment documents.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Major Duties:

  • Serve as the key point of contact to the Professor of Military Science (PMS) regarding the administration of the Cadet ROTC program.
  • Assist applicants/selectees in preparation of enrollment and contract documents for the program.
  • Monitor pay reports for proper payments to the universities/schools.
  • Provide staff assistance in all areas of supply and logistics management.
  • Assist organization by coordinating with the university to schedule and coordinate various facilities for events.
