One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade 13 within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as: Experience that includes aligning program funding with strategic goals, managing budgets, and proactively resolving funding challenges.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Develop and document multi-year funding plans and budget estimates for SDC programs, ensuring they align with the organization's goals and priorities.
  • Monitor execution year program operating budgets, identify funding variances, and recommend resource realignments to optimize mission fulfillment.
  • Establish and maintain financial control systems and procedures to effectively manage appropriated, reimbursable, and external funding for SDC programs.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and analyses on program status, funding trends, and potential issues to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the programs' needs and find a way to acquire them efficiently while also adhering to government and policies and regulations.
