Job Description

Summary

This job involves analyzing and improving supply processes like receiving, storing, and purchasing materials in a naval shipyard setting, with a focus on the Material Access Technology (MAT) system that supports maintenance operations.

You'll work alongside experts to study processes, test system updates, monitor the application, and manage databases.

Key Requirements

  • Proficiency in monitoring applications within Automated Data Processing (ADP) systems

Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the SUPPLY DEPARTMENT (code 500) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing supply department processes i.e.

receiving, storage, expediting, and purchasing and item management to support improvements to the effectiveness of methods, procedures, and functions of the Material Access Technology (MAT), or similar, application.

  • You will work with the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all Material Access Technology (MAT) related functions, as related to and in support of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and PHNSY material processes that impact maintenance operations.
  • You will assist their senior colleagues in conducting a variety of studies related to the substantive programs, process and functions of the Supply Department.
  • You will participate in analyzing, testing, and providing feedback for MAT system releases or requirements changes when necessary and communicate all issues/concerns to their senior colleagues.
  • You will assist in monitoring the MAT application, which is an integral part of the Shipyard's Automated Data Processing (ADP) system.
  • You will establish and maintain several database tables.
