Job Description

Summary

This job involves creating and updating policies on preventing and responding to issues like sexual assault, harassment, family violence, and suicide in the Navy, while advising leaders and coordinating with various groups.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST.

This position is located in the Department of the Navy Office of Force Resiliency, (DON OFR) which is an element of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy Manpower and Reserve Affairs (ASN M&RA).

GS-14 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience developing and implementing policy and guidance related to sexual assault, sexual harassment, suicide prevention and response, family violence and/or integrated prevention.

Experience implementing prevention and response programs and initiatives and advising leadership on long-term and short-term strategic program goals.

Experience coordinating and integrating updated policy throughout agency through programs, trainings, and documents.

GS-13 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with reviewing, revising, and advising on policy and guidance related to sexual assault, sexual harassment, suicide prevention and response,family violence and/or integrated prevention.

Experience overseeing projects and initiatives that impact the agency's approach to prevention and response.

Experience liaising with internal and external agencies to support and recommend policy changes related to prevention and response efforts.

  • You will develop revised sexual assault, harassment, family violence, suicide or integrated prevention policies and ensure that policies are supported by facts, and clarify, interpret, and resolve unique problems associated with related policies.
  • You will provide program guidance and advice to the Deputy Director and Director on complex topics related to the integrated prevention of and response to sexual assault, sexual harassment, family violence, and/or suicide prevention.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date Congressional and legislative changes to policies and procedures.
  • You will lead and participate in groups for the purpose of developing positions, providing oversight, and making recommendations concerning the integrated prevention and response to sexual assault, harassment, family violence, or suicide programs.
  • You will develop responses to inquiries from the Executive Office of the President, members of Congress, and others for data and information on policy program areas.
