Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the NUCLEAR WEAPONS SURETY DIV/NWS POLICY & COMPLIANCE BRANCH of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: certifying nuclear weapons (NW) facilities and systems, collaborating on surety projects with government and contractor stakeholders, and briefing senior leadership on programmatic functions and budget impacts.

  • You will serve on Nuclear Weapons Surety (NWS) project integrated product teams and ensure NWS requirements are identified, presented, and delivered across all NWS project organizations.
  • You will lead the Completion Inspection program and manage all administrative functions, technical processes, and onsite Provisional Use Evaluations and/or Completion Inspections of NWS projects.
  • You will identify NWS requirements; technical, security, and safety; and develop Completion Inspection plans to inspect facility NWS projects and determine if they meet Service NW mission objectives.
  • You will correspond with and brief senior leadership, flag level/senior executive staff on all Completion Inspection program areas and collaborate with technical branches to resolve program issues.
  • You will attend the Navy and Defense Threat Reduction Agency Nuclear Weapons Technical Inspection (NWTI) courses.
  • You will become qualified and certified as an NWTI inspector within two years.
