Job Description

Summary

This job involves advising on and managing large-scale government projects for the Navy's shipbuilding programs, from planning and budgeting to evaluating their success over time.

You'll work with teams to create strategies, analyze data, and brief high-level leaders on improvements.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the Naval Sea Systems Command of PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE SHIPS.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing or advising on the execution of federal acquisition programs throughout the project lifecycle.

  • You will serve as a management advisor using high-level of discernment and judgment to address a wide variety of interrelated subject matter that may include financial, contractual, programmatic, or other program office focus areas.
  • You will develop and implement overall program requirements based on new or revised legislation.
  • You will analyze and evaluate effectiveness of program requirements throughout the life cycle.
  • You will develop and implement improvement and efficiency strategies for programming, budgeting and procurement based on findings from key program key program specialists and analysts and lead studies.
  • You will coordinate group efforts and consolidate findings into a proposed product as well as develop and deliver briefings to senior stakeholders.
