Summary

This job involves analyzing and improving IT helpdesk programs for the Defense Logistics Agency, including creating plans, evaluating performance, and solving issues to ensure smooth customer service.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position.

To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.

Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.

Creditable specialized experience includes: - Determines assigned project scope, purpose and objectives through the development of project plans and task groups Independently and as a team member, performs micro-planning and executes complete assignments/milestones/events for developing step-by-step actions and targeted completion dates within the overall assignment, project objectives, and approved timeframes for completion.

- Develops and maintains plans that provide for the establishment and management of data requirements, develops policies, procedures and other guidance material.

Identifies contract problems and initiates resolution actions, if required. - Advises and consults on contract obligations for alternative development.

Incumbent is responsible to ensure actions are scheduled and performed.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:

  • Responsible for providing support in the form of plans, procedures, technical guidance and design, development and evaluation criteria relating to the Enterprise Information Technology Tier I Helpdesk.
  • Ensures the effectiveness of programs and material that are developed, operated and produced by the service provider.
  • Responsible for review and critical analysis of programs or processes developed in cooperation with each service site and the service provider.
  • Responsible for the performance evaluation helpdesk activities to determine effectiveness in meeting the customer service goals of the agency.
  • Independently plans and conducts validity and reliability studies to analyze existing programs and develops alternative programs or activities to address identified problems.
