Summary

This job involves coordinating and managing testing programs for advanced communication and information systems on Navy ships, especially for groups deploying on missions.

You'll plan surveys, define tests, lead teams during sea trials, and help make decisions to ensure everything works together smoothly.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the FLEET MODERNIZAITON AND FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIRECTORATE of NAVAL INFORMATION FORCES.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience supporting all facets of Deploying Group Systems Integration Testing Pacific (DGSIT PAC) program coordination, including, but not limited to planning, executing, and managing technical efforts supporting the integration and interoperability testing of C5I installations associated with Flagship units assigned to a deploying Carrier Strike Group (CSG), Expeditionary Strike Group (ESG) or Amphibious Ready Group (ARG).

Experience in assisting in the development of DGSIT program milestones and program documentation for all phases of the program.

Experience identifying and coordinating programmatic issues with all agencies associated with DGSIT activities.

Experience coordinating and conducting Planning Definition Survey (PDS) phase of DGSIT program on deploying Strike Group Aircraft Carriers and Amphibious Ready Group Large Deck Amphibious units to review/confirm individual hull-unique installations and configurations to ensure applicable Subject Matter Expert (SME) support is provided during Final Integration Testing (FIT) phase.

Experience defining testing requirements, based on scope of C5I/IW system coverage and configuration.

Experience assisting in team development of up to 70 GS-12/13 personnel in an aggregated 6 ship or greater underway testing environment.

Experience supervising and directing Large Deck/Flagship test teams of up to 25 personnel during underway C5I testing.

  • You will define testing requirements, assist in project team development, and provide guidance and direction.
  • You will develop DGSIT presentations and reports and participate in executive decision making.
  • You will assess efficiencies of DGSIT internal processes across all teams that are linked to operational and system support functions.
  • You will apply fact finding and investigative techniques to accurately define, depict, and document DGSIT findings during Final Integration Testing (FIT) phase.
