Job Description

Summary

This job involves monitoring and analyzing the readiness of Navy medical units by reviewing their reports, spotting any mismatches in data on personnel, equipment, and training, and then briefing senior leaders on the overall status to highlight potential issues.

It also includes managing contracts and budgets to support these operations.

A good fit would be someone with experience in government or military analysis who is detail-oriented and comfortable handling classified information and financial planning.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM ANALYST in the MARITIME OPERATIONS of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience overseeing enterprise-wide readiness reporting execution compliance.

Experience reviewing monthly unit commander classified assessments in Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS-S).

Experience comparing commander assessments to authoritative personnel, equipment, supply and training data.

Experience preparing comprehensive feedback to reporting unit commanders, through leadership, relaying any substantive findings.

Experience preparing and delivering executive correspondence and briefings to ensure senior leaderships' awareness of the enterprise's operational readiness status, to include identifying specific areas of potential concern or attention.

  • You will review monthly Navy Medicine unit commander classified assessments in DRRS-S.
  • You will identify content that may require reporting commander review and reassessment due to disconnect between DRRS-S data and commander assessment of such.
  • You will prepare Navy Medicine responses to United States Fleet Forces Command formal tasking associated with DRRS-S reporting; coordinates response clearance through Navy Medicine leadership.
  • You will manage Navy Medicine’s contract, contractor performance and program enhancement efforts.
  • You will prepare and submit Purchase Requests through the Commodity Management Planning and Surveillance System to ensure timely financial reconciliation of BUMED RCRP contract obligations.
  • You will conduct analysis to determine future contractual budget estimates and requested allocations for submission into BUMED’s Program Objective Memorandum process.
