We are in search of a Professional Health Monitoring Program Specialist to provide intervention and referral services to licensed professionals suffering from substance use and/or mental health disorders. Requirements

In this role, you will be responsible for performing case management services to licensees throughout their involvement in the Professional Health Monitoring Program (PHMP) as well as serving as a consultant to the licensing boards which have the impaired professional provision in their practice acts.

Work involves implementing the policies and procedures of PHMP to ensure the program fulfills its primary mandate to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public from licensees suffering from mental or physical impairment issues.

You will have the opportunity to utilize your knowledge of substance use and/or mental health disorders to determine and/or coordinate appropriate evaluation and treatment services for licensees seeking PHMP participation or for individuals enrolled in PHMP.

Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

  • Receiving and evaluating reports to determine eligibility for participation in the PHMP's Voluntary Recovery Program (VRP)
  • Evaluating information concerning treatment and progress of individuals
  • Addressing noncompliance with treatment and/or the case management plan and initiating appropriate action in accordance with the approved policies and procedures of the program

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work hours may be negotiable.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 50% upon successful completion of the probationary period.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional experience providing counseling in an individual or group setting and preparing treatment plans for individuals diagnosed with drug and alcohol or mental health conditions, or three years of professional experience providing case management services to individuals diagnosed with drug and alcohol or mental health conditions, and a bachelor’s degree that includes 18 credits in the behavioral sciences; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes 18 credits in the behavioral sciences.
