This job involves planning and supporting production work in a naval shipyard, where you'll review orders and drawings to figure out needed materials, track progress to avoid delays, and handle procurement to ensure everything arrives on time.
It's ideal for someone with hands-on machining experience who is organized, detail-oriented, and good at coordinating with teams in a fast-paced environment.
No specific years of experience are required, but you need to demonstrate strong practical skills in production support.
You will serve as a PRODUCTION SHOP PLANNER (MACHINIST) in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT (c930) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
