Full Job Description

You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT - (CODE 300) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating production control methods and analyzing production data (e.g.

delays, scheduling conflicts, material and labor shortages, faulty processes, and skilled trade imbalances) to develop automated systems that ensure optimal resource availability and scheduling of projects to support shipyard production work.

  • You will serve as an assistant to the Chief Scheduler to work with system and database administrators to develop, implement and operate a computerized scheduling system as well as local application scheduling systems.
  • You will work with contacts in organizations to determine needs and identify all scheduling requirements for automation.
  • You will review specifications with the Chief Scheduler to ensure that equipment is capable of producing the required output.
  • You will develop methods of collecting, inputting, and analyzing data to utilize in the creation of improved schedules.
  • You will provide guidance and procedures for smooth operating systems and timely input of data.
  • You will develop and maintain and implementation plan for automating all scheduling evaluations.
  • You will identify material, equipment, and facilities needed to support operational requirements.
