THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD0795000 and is part of the TN 164th AW, Air National Guard.
This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 115 (Pyramid on the River Chapter).
Military Grades: E-7 Promotable to E-8 Compatible AFSC: 2A5XX, 2A6XX, 2A7XX GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of mechanical maintenance work; ability to read and use technical manuals; illustrations, diagrams and schematics, and skill in the use of equipment and hand tools used in troubleshooting, testing, and repairing equipment.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel.
Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function.
Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes.
Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations. Major Duties:
As a POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (MILITARY) WS-5378-10, you will perform major duties to include planning weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations, assign tasks to be performed, and recommend and participate in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies.
Perform the non-supervisory work of the function as needed. Implements safety regulatory requirements.
Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Perform other duties as assigned.
