Advertised Job Summary

The Department of Neurology at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine – Columbia is seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Postdoctoral Fellow to join a multi-disciplinary research program focused on the neuroimaging of aphasia and stroke recovery. The Fellow will contribute to NIH -funded studies that investigate the structural and functional brain networks underlying language processing and recovery in individuals with post-stroke aphasia. The position offers an opportunity to work with large-scale multimodal neuroimaging datasets and apply advanced computational methods to address clinically meaningful questions in cognitive neuroscience. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations. This position is in support of expanded research activities.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Strong analytical and cognitive aptitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact and work well in collaboration with others, familiarity with neuroimaging analysis, computational modeling and programming, etc.
• Scientific presentation and publication experience helpful. ’
• Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations.
