Full Job Description
- Coordinates all activities between the U.S. Post Office and the institution.
- Delivers and picks up all mail.
- Receives U.S. Post Office and United Parcel Service packages.
- Supervises inspection of all mail for contraband.
- Maintains and interprets SCDC policies and U.S. Postal regulations concerning mail in an institutional environment.
- Maintains records of money instruments received and/or returned.
- Coordinates activities of E.H. Cooper Trust Fund.
- Research records for the location of inmates in an effort to handle the mail properly.
- Supervises the receiving and distribution of U.S. and department mail.
- Supervises the activities of both incoming and outgoing mail and insure packages.
- Plans and schedules work assignments and employee training.
- Resume preferred but not required.
