This job is for a postdoctoral fellow who will lead research on detecting autism and related health issues early in infants and young children at risk, working closely with a lead researcher on studies funded by the National Institutes of Health.

Advertised Job Summary

The postdoctoral fellow will, in collaboration with the principal investigator, devote their time to providing leadership in research on NIH -funded studies focused on the early detection of autism and autonomic dysfunction in high-risk infants and children using multiple behavioral and physiological developmental indicators.

This individual will assist with recruiting participants, organizing and providing training, conducting assessments, writing manuscripts, and grant applications, conducting relevant literature reviews, and making professional presentations.

This position is established in support of expanded activities and projects.

Required Education and Experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctoral degree prior to the start date in school, clinical, or experimental psychology or a related discipline, as well as advanced clinical and research training.

• In-depth training in developmental assessment with infants and/or young children and their families is required and autism diagnostics is preferred.

• Reliability on the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• In-depth training in assessment with infants and young children with neurodevelopmental disorders; experience with statistical modeling;

• Experience in scientific manuscript and grant writing; excellent written and spoken communication skills.
