About the Position: Serves as a Police Record Clerk (Office Automation), performing a variety of clerical, administrative, office automation and specialized functions in support of the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES).

Exercises extensive technical knowledge of legal/police terminology, regulations, procedures and processes governing administrative functions.

The work requires knowledge and application of numerous regulations, policies, procedures, guidelines, and precedents.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Major Duties:

  • Serves as a Police Record Clerk (Office Automation), performing a variety of clerical, administrative, office automation and specialized functions in support of the Directorate of Emergency Services (DES).
  • Serves as the Post Debarment, and Revocation and Suspension of Installation Driving Privileges clerk for Fort Meade.
  • Prepares DA Forms 4833 for all Crime Records Center (CRC) reportable crimes and repeat offenses.
  • Provides assistance to walk-in visitors, and telephone callers.
