This job involves installing, modifying, and repairing piping systems in naval facilities, ensuring everything is properly routed, pitched, and tested for leaks or issues.
Workers read blueprints to plan layouts and use various tools to get the job done right.
It's a great fit for experienced tradespeople who enjoy hands-on work and can handle it independently with minimal oversight.
You will serve as a PIPEFITTER in the Public Works of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.
This position is being recruited for the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) and may subsequently be realigned under the Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC).
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
