Job Description

Summary

This job involves overseeing physical security measures at a U.S.

Marine Corps base in South Korea, including inspecting facilities, developing policies to protect government property and personnel, and coordinating with teams to ensure compliance with security standards.

It's ideal for someone with experience in security planning and inspections who is comfortable working in an overseas military environment and handling sensitive protection tasks.

The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to create training materials to prevent crimes and risks.

You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS AND PLANS SECTION ofCAMP MUJUK, REPUBLIC OF KOREA . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED.

YYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: directing the establishment, implementation, and dissemination of policies, plans, and procedures necessary to maintain security integrity for program; providing expert authoritative security program guidance; reviewing security contract requirements; and developing local security policy.

  • You will review and approve security contract requirements through the coordination with program managers and directorates with Contract Security Classification Specifications.
  • You will conduct Physical Security Inspections to ensure compliance with applicable Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) orders, directives and principles for safeguarding United States (US) Government property.
  • You will assess physical security needs through physical security surveys and inspections.
  • You will develop crime prevention materials and briefings to protect personnel and property from acts of crime.
  • You will be responsible for the direction, planning, formulation, development, coordination, and implementation of security programs and related program guidance.
