Full Job Description

You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Force Protection Division of COMNAVREG MIDLANT NORFOLK.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provide direct oversight and management of the Regional Training Academy (RTA) and implementation of the training program to sustain the agencies installation readiness.

2) Providing expert technical and operational support to the installation on all matters relating to Anti-terrorism (AT), Physical Security (PS), Law Enforcement (LE) programs.

3)Monitors' installations' training readiness and compliance organization systems.

4) Prepares, delivers, and trains others, including RTA and installation instructors, in the delivery of security course material.

5) Provides technical and operational support to installation on matters relating to security force training programs, policies, procedures, and policy/procedures development.

  • You will brief installation commanders regarding Security or Force Protection issues to include recommended courses of action.
  • You will review Physical Security programs to develop new and improved operating procedures for the organization.
  • You will resolve Force Protection conflicts with the command's policy and the security program's objectives.
  • You will coordinate training to provide realistic Anti-terrorism training by writing and assisting with the exercises and drills.
  • You will review the installation's Anti-terrorism/force protection training programs to verify all employees are kept up to date.
