This job involves working as a specialized pharmacist in the oncology department of a county hospital, where you'll prepare and distribute cancer medications, monitor patient treatments, and collaborate with doctors and nurses to ensure safe and effective drug use.
It's a great fit for an experienced pharmacist passionate about cancer care who enjoys leading teams, analyzing patient data, and improving hospital programs.
The role requires strong knowledge of handling hazardous drugs and working in infusion centers.

Under general direction, compounds and dispenses pharmaceutical preparations and supplies for patients of the Ventura County Medical Center/Santa Paula Hospital Oncology Infusion Pharmacy; completes tasks related to the evaluation of patient drug therapy.
An ideal candidate for this position is highly specialized and knowledgeable in Oncology Pharmacy.
The Oncologist Pharmacist incumbent will have considerable oncology inpatient and/or outpatient infusion center experience, as well as experience with sterile and non-sterile compounding of non-hazardous and hazardous medication.
