About the Position: This position is located at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Basic Requirement for Pharmacist: Education: A doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.

Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. Qualification: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree, Ph.D., Pharm.D.

or equivalent doctoral degree in Pharmacy that is recognized by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.

Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.

Exemption: You are exempt from the requirements above if you are a current federal employee occupying a position in the 0660 occupational series and have been continuously employed in this occupational series since September 27, 2017 or before.

Note: You will be required to provide appropriate documentation to the respective Human Resources Office to validate your status.

Licensure: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, a territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia.

Medical Requirement: Must be able to distinguish basic colors. Major Duties:

  • Interpret prescriptions for outpatients written by medical generalists.
  • Compound, prepare, or select prescribed drugs and pharmaceuticals from available stocks to provide the required therapeutic agent.
  • Review all products prepared by designated personnel for correctness prior to issue.
  • Independently perform the normal range of professional pharmacy functions involved in the operation of pharmacy services in an outpatient health clinic setting.
  • Participate in the surveillance of stock levels and required stock replenishment under consideration of demand experienced.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations within the health clinic in order to establish procedures for pharmacy services.
