Job Description

Summary

This job involves helping patients with administrative issues, explaining hospital rules, and improving customer service in a military clinic in South Korea.

About the Position: This position is located in the Quality Management division of the Directorate of Executive at the clinic in Brian D. Allgood Army Community Hospital on Camp Humphreys, South Korea.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting patients with administrative problems, explaining organizational rules to patients, and gathering patient feedback.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Health Administration or Public Administration.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18.

Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Major Duties:

  • Develop procedures related to customer relations and services.
  • Coordinate with hospital staff and the community to resolve issues pertaining to patients' rights, customer service, and advocacy.
  • Prepare documents such as correspondence, reports, messages, directives, technical papers, manuals, charts, statistical tables.
  • Evaluate and refine current policies and procedures for improvement.
  • Conduct hospitality and customer relations classes for hospital staff personnel.
