Full Job Description

The Davidson County Residential Drug Court alcohol and drug treatment program (DC4) is seeking a part-time residential monitor to oversee participating offenders under the direction of the DC4 Residential Supervisor.

DC4 provides access to a continuum of alcohol, drug, and other treatment and rehabilitation services.

This position supports the treatment process by providing the highest level of physical and emotional safety to participating offenders as they work through the intensive inpatient treatment program.

Candidates must be able to work various shifts as needed.

This is a part-time grant funded position.

Requirements

Ensure the security and safety of the residents, facilities, and campus

Accurately account for the location of each participating offender by conducting and documenting security checks

Develop positive rapport with residents and staff

Carry out necessary protocol for facility monitoring and shift exchange and completing the necessary documentation

Transport or assist with the transportation of participants as needed

Administer daily medications and complete the necessary documentation when required

Administer drug and alcohol screens

Perform or assist with random and scheduled searches of participants and/or facility

Attend meetings and trainings as required

Maintain appropriate records and perform administrative duties as required

May assist in giving first aid, connecting with emergency services or on-call clinical support

Perform related duties as required with promptness and attention to detail

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age

Bachelor’s Degree Required with a minimum of one (1) year experience in a correctional and/or care/ treatment facility.

Current Adult CPR/Basic First Aid certification (provided by DC4)

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Ability to be tactful and professional at all times

Ability to de-escalate crisis and resolve conflict

Must be willing to work all shifts
