Position: Park Ranger II
Location: Heber City UT

Utah State Parks is seeking a dedicated and driven individual to fill the position of Park Ranger II at Jordanelle State Park in the beautiful Wasatch Back. The Park Ranger position will mainly focus on education and interpretive programs and oversee the front line operations, while offering a variety of opportunities for individuals who are passionate about supporting park operations.

Requirements

  • Schedule and conduct education programs
  • Organize and oversee volunteer projects
  • Manage Park Social Media pages
  • Oversee front line operations
  • Host visitors and provide visitor services
  • Dependability and self-motivation. Proven reliability with a strong ability to work independently and take proactive initiative
  • Willingness to participate in the comprehensive planning, design, and upkeep of park facilities
  • Understanding of Division programs and customers

Qualifications

  • Educational programming experience
  • Broad knowledge of parks and park programs
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to be well rounded in all park functions and guest experiences
  • Strong collaboration and capable of working in a team environment
  • Knowledge of social media

Work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking over rough terrain or rocky
