This job involves leading a team to maintain and repair buildings, grounds, and equipment at Ridley Creek State Park, ensuring everything runs safely and smoothly for visitors and staff.

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking a Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 to join the team at Ridley Creek State Park.
This working supervisory position is an integral part of the park’s maintenance crew and is responsible for overseeing the upkeep of buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment throughout the park.
Working closely with Park Managers and other staff, the Park Maintenance Supervisor plans, organizes, and directs maintenance activities to ensure a safe, well-maintained environment that enhances the experience of both visitors and employees.

In this role, you will assist Park Managers with planning, scheduling, and overseeing the work of maintenance staff at Ridley Creek State Park.
You will coordinate daily maintenance operations, manage supplies and materials, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Responsibilities include supervising employees, reviewing performance, approving leave, and ensuring compliance with safety standards, union contracts, and park policies.
You will also serve as the park’s Safety Coordinator, Right-to-Know Coordinator, and licensed pesticide applicator.
As a working supervisor, you will participate in hands-on maintenance tasks, ensure park utilities and facilities operate properly, maintain equipment, address public safety hazards, and interact with visitors as needed.
Weekend, holiday, and varied shift work may be required.
