Position Responsibilities:The Outreach Educational Audiologist is responsible for serving deaf and hard-of-hearing students statewide via in-person service and remote/tele-service.
Duties include performing comprehensive audiological evaluations, writing professional reports, explaining evaluation results, providing audiological counseling for students and families, consulting with district and agency staff, performing staff in-service and education, attending Individualized Educational Program (IEP) and 504 planning meetings, and managing amplification and FM systems across districts.
This position is also responsible for providing direct, culturally competent communication and instruction with students in their preferred language/modality and working collaboratively across transdisciplinary teams to support student success.
The Outreach Educational Audiologist is a resource for students, staff, outside providers, and parents, often serving as a liaison between the medical and educational communities.

Salary and Benefit Information:
Certificated employees are paid in accordance with the Vancouver Public Schools Salary scale.
Certificated staff receive 12-month pro-rated salary and are designated as overtime-exempt employees.
This position is represented by the Washington Public Employees Association (WPEA).
This position is eligible for full benefits (medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life insurance and retirement).
Travel Information:
Travel expenses and per diem paid by the State of Washington in accordance with Chapter 10:Travel of the Washington State Administrative and Accounting Manual (SAAM)
