This job is a 12-month training program for people starting out in human resources, where you'll learn how to classify jobs, manage organizational changes, and support state agencies with their staffing needs.
You'll work alongside experienced HR pros, doing tasks like researching positions, interviewing staff, and writing reports.
It's ideal for recent graduates or those with some background in administration who want hands-on experience in government HR and a promotion to a full analyst role at the end.

As an Organization Management Trainee, you will actively participate in an on-the-job training program where you will develop OM competencies.
This includes determining the most appropriate job classification of filled and vacant positions, evaluating temporary working out-of-classification and change supervisor requests, analyzing agency reorganization requests, and providing position description consultative support and related organization management services.
Work involves participating in training-level assignments to review position and organization information, conduct research, interview employees and supervisors, and prepare detailed analysis reports that include classification and pay determinations.
Additionally, with guidance from supervisors and/or higher-level analysts, you will learn to evaluate programs and operations in assigned state agencies to identify organization management needs and explore options with and deliver solutions to customers.
