Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command.
You may qualify at the GS-13 f you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Participating in the planning and execution of Force Movement involving Airlift, Surface, Sealift and Sustainment operations worldwide.
Serving as the subject matter expert for deployment and mission development, production, dissemination, and tracking.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
As a Operations Support Specialist at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Monitors USTRANSCOM movement requirements and transportation allocation process Coordinates with USTRANSCOM Combatant Command Branches to understand operational context of forces deploying into theater Provides updates to the Chief of Current Operations and Deployment and Distribution Operation Center regarding forces deploying on all modes of transportation Attends various meetings with the Joint Staff and Combatant Commands regarding strategic and operational planning requirements.
Provides updates to the USTRANSCOM Common Operational Picture to provide situational awareness for the Command's senior leaders
