This job is for an Operations Manager at a lodging facility on an Air Force base in New Mexico, where you'll supervise teams handling maintenance, supplies, and housekeeping to keep everything running smoothly for guests.
It involves flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and managing staff hiring, training, and daily operations in a busy environment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Progressively responsible experience in a military or civilian lodging program, which provided knowledge of supervising other personnel.
Familiarity with supply and vehicle maintenance is highly desirable. Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
Supervision experience should be at a sufficient level to ensure knowledge of how and why tasks are performed and to ensure work is performed efficiently and effectively.
Experience which demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, and efficiently both orally and in writing and the ability to deal effectively with individuals or groups to accomplish work/tasks.
Strong computer skills and experience with AFSVC software systems such as; DLS, SETS, SAIS, IBPS, etc. are highly desired for the position.
Self-starter and highly motivated individuals with strong organizational skills and detail-oriented individuals desired for position.
Ability to oversee multiple departments and teams simultaneously, and are comfortable with fast-paced environments and large crowds are highly desired.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The purpose of this position is to oversee the operations of maintenance, supply, and housekeeping or oversee the operations of maintenance and supply depending on size/structure of the lodging operation.
Accountable for the quantity and quality of work performed by assigned employees to include: hires, promotes, motivates, disciplines, and separates employees.
Writes, coordinates, and submits AF Form 332, Base Civil Engineer Work Request, and tracks work orders to completion.
Ensures safety inspections are current, to include facility, fire extinguisher, preventative maintenance, OSHA, and other inspections are maintained and documented.
Documents and fosters proper maintenance and warehouse practices.
May drive government motor vehicle to inspect lodging facilities, rooms, common areas, grounds, equipment and tools to ensure proper maintenance and repairs are accomplished and/or to identify minor plumbing and electrical discrepancies, sanitation problems or deteriorated paint surfaces.
Ensures routine inspection and minor maintenance are performed on lodging vehicles. Maintains bench stock levels of parts, materials, tools, and equipment at prescribed levels.
Establishes and maintains minimum stock levels of all expendable supplies and amenities to assure adequate inventory of items to prevent work stoppage.
Manages stocks of perishable items to ensure that items are used before expiration dates. Establishes and maintains the appropriate security of high value items subject to pilferage.
Responsible for warehousing of expendable and nonexpendable backup stocks according to generally accepted supply warehousing and safety policies and standards.
Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinates, and evaluates their work performance; approving or disapproving sick leave, annual leave or other absences from work.
Plans, schedules, and coordinates work operations, determining equipment and supplies needed according to priorities and/or objectives outlined by supervisor.
Unusual problems or circumstances requiring deviations from general guidelines are discussed with supervisor. Inspects completed work for quality and completeness.
Provides initial and recurring training for all employees. Performs other related duties as assigned.
