Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.
Experience which has demonstrated arithmetic aptitude and ability, accuracy and attention to detail; progressively responsible experience in receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody, or other processing of cash and cash items.
Must be a qualified typist. Skill in dealing with the public. Computer experience is required. Condition(s) of Employment: Frequently lifts or moves objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
Must be at least 18 years of age, high school diploma (or equivalent) and must speak, read, write English.
Must meet specific physical requirements, pass a physical examination and have required immunizations.
Must satisfactorily complete the following background checks: Tier 1, Installation Records Checks, and State Criminal History Records Check. **Non-U.S.
Citizens must have resided physically in the United States or U.S. Territory for at least 3 years prior to employment.** Major Duties:
The incumbent is responsible for preparing various reports, records, purchase orders, correspondence, and other related documents pertaining to the operation of the Youth Programs to include: School Age Care Youth Center Teen Center Sports and Instructional Answers telephone and receive visitors supplying information from own knowledge and/or office files or refers caller to appropriate source.
Enrolls youth in programs ensuring all contracts and required paperwork is filled out entirely and accurately. On a daily basis update enrollment information on required sites/computer.
Computes and collects fees of youth program participants. Operates a cash register, rings up charges, receives money and makes change, or receives check or charge card.
Completes daily cashier's reports and inputs information into required forms and file plans. Responsible for submitting emergency and facility work order requests.
Compiles information for preparing and maintaining daily financial reports. Maintains suspense for customer payment and sends notices regarding overdue fees and charges.
Performs other duties as assigned. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
