Job Description


The Gwinnett County Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking an administrative support associate to assist in all aspects of coordinating jury trials for the courts.

The purpose of this position is to assist in various office procedures such as preparing jurors for trials, preforming data entry, answering phones, and providing customer service.


Essential Duties

  • Providing various monthly and yearly reports
  • Assisting in coordinating monthly court hearings and prepare files and documents in accordance with those hearings
  • Reviewing and verifying information; sorts and assembles jury paperwork for courtrooms
  • Answering routine questions at the front counter and over the telephone
  • Reviewing and analyzing juror questionnaires and requests for excusals and deferrals
  • Scanning, archiving and retrieving records and documents
  • Cross training for various needs associated with the Administrative Office of the Courts
  • Performing other duties of a similar nature or level


Public Speaking


  • Presenting morning announcements to jurors
  • Communicating updates to the jurors through the day


Grade


  • The grade for this position is 100D. Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

    Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, criminal justice or related field AND
  • Two years of clerical experience in a moderately complex office setting
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
