This job is for an overnight operations assistant at a restaurant on a U.S.
Air Force base in Japan, where you'll help keep things running smoothly when managers aren't around, handle cash, and ensure everything follows rules.
It's a flexible role with no guaranteed hours but up to 40 per week, mainly nights and weekends.
It's a good fit for someone with customer service experience in food service or retail who can work independently and deal with the public effectively.
About the position: This position is Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the 35th Force Support Squadron Flyers The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Flyers Manager only overnight in the economic and efficient operations of the restaurant.
This is a Flexible category position; guaranteed 0 hours per week but may work up to 40 hours a week (depending on the needs of the facility).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, OR retail operation.
Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales operations Must have experience which demonstrates ability to provide work direction to other employees and knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations Must be able to communicate with customers and possess skills in dealing with the public Conditions of Employment Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background check May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Major Duties:
THIS IS PRIMARILY AN OVERNIGHT POSITION Monitors operations of a club or assigned area, normally during absence of the manager and assistant manager, and normally at night or on weekends.
Responsible for issue, receipt and control of cash boxes. Prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift.
Reviews the schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by management.
Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility, and that club rules, regulations and established procedures are followed.
Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all club staff members on functions taking place during the shift.
May assist with end of month inventory. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. Performs other related duties as assigned.
