The Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands Administration (Trust Lands Administration) seeks an Office Specialist for its Salt Lake City Office.


Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform full clerical, administrative, and general office duties.
  • Receive and screen telephone calls and/or visitors.
  • Schedule appointments and plan meetings, conferences, and travel.
  • Handle highly confidential information and files.
  • Proofread and review correspondence, presentations, and similar.
  • Receive and record payments.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
  • 1 or more years of administrative/office experience.
  • Ability to produce quality, timely, and accurate work.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of tact, discretion, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with limited direction.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Enthusiastic support of the Trust Lands Administration’s mission to generate revenue for the trust beneficiaries.

What is the Trust Lands Administration?

The Trust Lands Administration manages approximately 3.3 million acres of surface lands and 4.4 million acres of minerals exclusively for the economic benefit of public schools and other important state institutions. Please visit trustlands.utah.gov for additional information.


This is a long-term position meaning employment will extend past the completion of the Return Utah program, provided for 16 weeks.
